About Serenity Care Hospice

Serenity Care Hospice, founded in 2012 and based in Harrisonville, MO, provides comprehensive hospice care services, pain management, grief services, and support for those patients and families facing serious or life-limiting illness. Through its mission of "changing the end of life experience," Serenity Care Hospice supports adults living with a serious or life-limiting illness throughout Cass, Jackson, Henry, Bates and Johnson counties in Missouri.

Serenity Care Hospice began with Stephanie Clark, RN, who saw the unmet needs of terminally ill patients and their families in the rural areas of Harrisonvile, MO. With over a century of combined hospice nursing experience, our Serenity Care team has earned great insight into the daily management of disease processes and the turmoil this may cause for a family. Our Serenity Family works well with your family to create a peaceful symptom free environment for your loved one.

Having a local owner on site daily ensures our care team is held to a higher performance standard as we create an individualized, compassionate plan of care. Our field nurses creatively and more effectively manage our patients’ symptoms in partnership with our medical director and experienced compound pharmacists. RN case managers, along with LPNs, CNAs, social workers, and chaplains round out our care team. With compassion and experience as our guide, our patients are able to more fully enjoy every day they are given. All team members have passed a rigorous background check.

A dismal picture of hospice is typically perceived when contemplating caring for a terminally ill patient in the home. We are committed to continuous community education regarding the benefits and true definition of hospice as it should be. Our goal is to enhance the positive and rewarding aspects of end-of-life home care that allow the patient and family to fully embrace this situation and feel empowered in their decisions.

Community is important to us. We live and work in the communities we serve and are dedicated to providing services and community support to all. We believe hospice care should be available to everyone and we provide services to all, regardless of ability to pay.

As part of our commitment to providing care to our patients and families, we partner with other local community members and surrounding chambers.

Serenity Care Hospice’s strong volunteer program continues to make a difference in the lives of our patients and in our community. Our volunteers spend their time providing support for patients and families, supporting bereavement services with phone calls and support groups, and assisting with office support.

Serenity Care Hospice will admit and treat all persons without regard to race, color, place of origin, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion or communicable disease in its provision of services and benefits. To assure that all persons understand services and benefits, Serenity Care Hospice will arrange for interpretive assistance and other aides. Please inform Serenity Care Hospice if you need assistance understanding this information.
